About Aama
Aama (आमा) means mother. The app is named for that feeling: a warm lap, a soft voice, a place to put your head down.
Aama is a mobile app with breathing exercises, sleep sounds, a mood journal, and a caring AI companion to talk to. It is made for people who feel overwhelmed, can't sleep, or just want a quiet moment.
Who makes it
Aama is made by Surendra Tamang, an independent developer based in Kathmandu, Nepal.
What it is not
Aama is not a medical device and is not a substitute for professional care or emergency services. The companion is an AI, not a therapist. If you are in crisis, please visit our helplines page.
This website
The guides and tools here are free and written to be gentle and plain. Some guide pages show ads from Google, which helps pay for the site. The app itself never shows ads.
